Our Waste Education Team are returning to Devon schools with a selection of fully ‘Covid secure’ outdoor workshops.

As a special offer for the Autumn term we are offering them to Devon schools FREE of charge.

We recognise that schools are struggling with lots of new rules and trying to minimise the risks of Covid. But we also recognise that schools still need to provide their students with an engaging curriculum that helps children to prepare for their future.

Our team of experienced Waste Educators have adapted some of our most poplar curriculum linked workshops to ensure they are ‘Covid secure’.

  • All workshops will be delivered outside, in smaller group sizes with social distancing practices in place.
  • Safe cleaning routines are used for essential equipment.
  • Workshops have been fully risk assessed and appropriate changes made so that they are safe for all participants.

Our workshops will help you to address challenging topics of the day such as plastic pollution, food waste, resources and recycling.  Most importantly our workshops focus on positive actions we can all take to help protect our natural world.

We are focusing on 3 key themes:

  • Litter (in particular plastics)
  • Materials & recycling
  • Composting (links to growing plants and habitats)
