Devon School Catering and Waste Management Survey – 2024 

Prize Draw Full Terms & Conditions 

1. How to Enter

This prize draw is being run by Devon County Council. To participate in this prize draw you must complete the ‘Devon School Catering and Waste Management Survey’ and provide a valid email address.

2. Entry

No purchase necessary. Only one prize draw entry per school. Only fully completed survey forms are eligible.

3. Eligibility

Participation is open to any school in Devon, excluding Torbay and Plymouth. Employees and directors of Devon County Council Waste Management Team, its members and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees/members are not eligible to enter.

4. The Prize

There will be one prize draw for a set of children’s books about waste and environmental issues. 

5. Drawing

The draw will take place one week after the survey closes on 31st July 2024. 

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the drawing. Drawing will be conducted at random by a member of the Devon County Council Waste Management Team. By entering the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the prize draws.

6. Notification

The winning school will be notified by email.  If the winning school does not claim their prize or in the event of non-compliance, in line with the prize draw rules and requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and no compensation will be given. The survey closes on the 31st July 2024 at 11.45pm. No entries will be accepted after this time.  

7.  Conditions

By completing the survey and providing a valid email address, participants are agreeing:

 a) to their surname and County being published in the manner set out in this clause.  Devon County Council will send the surname and county of the prize winners to anyone who emails recycle@devon.gov.uk requesting this information, within one month of the 31st July 2024. 

 b) Insofar as is permitted by law, Devon County Council, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Devon County Council, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this promotion in any way shall be disqualified. Prizes are non-transferable.  No prize substitutions. There is no purchase or sales presentation required to participate.

 8. Additional Terms

The decision of the Devon County Council Waste Management Team regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
