Pupils analyse contents of your school’s bins, then make an action plan to improve your Reduce, Reuse and Recycle systems. The audit is then repeated to monitor how successfully your plans have been implemented. There are different kinds of waste audits you can do:

  • Packed Lunch Waste Audit – Investigation of waste created from packed lunches. Focusing on reducing, pupils discuss the advantages and disadvantages of packaging, reusable bottles and containers.
  • Recycling Audit – Could your school save money by reusing paper more effectively before you recycle it? This audit will help you find out.
