Scoogles

Charlton was made out of an old t-shirt, a sock with a hole, some trousers with rips in the knees, and a couple of buttons. Inside there was lots of old scraps to stuff him up. He was, a scoogle, a monster made out of things people nearly put in the bin.
One Friday, he was in his big underground cave with all the other scoogles. Each scoogle was made up of old bits of clothes with stains, rips or holes. They were a funny troop, colourful, slightly scary and raggeldy.
The troop decided to go and find some rubbish so they could create more scoogles to add to their clan. They were on a hunting mission but as they crossed the bad lands everyone got stuck in a big pit of sinking sand.
Charlton spotted a rope hanging down from the tree above them. He said ‘Grab on, let’s
climb up’.
The group of scoogles rushed up the rope and clambered down the tree.
This time they hopped across the sinking sand.
Near a volcano, they saw a dragon made from rubbish – his body was made of crisp packets and his head was made from an old football with a puncture. His legs were made up of broken plastic and it’s claws were runned out pens.
The scoogles were scared at first. They decided that each they would join together to defeat the dragon. They prepared for battle.
At the last minute, the dragon decided that 485 scoogles was just too many fight so he said,
‘Can I be part of your troop’?
With the dragon as part of the troop the scoogles felt more confident and carried on their mission of making waste into creatures.
So they carried on walking along. Then there was a big tall climbing frame, with snakes dangling down. The scoogles who were good at climbing climbed up the slippery snakes and then helped the other scoogles who were not so good at climbing could crawl up.
They searched in some bins and found lots of clothes. These aren’t rubbish they said and took all the clothes back to their base to make even more scoogles.
After their mission there was 873 Scoogles + the dragon. Yay!
