They are also accepted at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

How to Recycle Batteries at School

Schools can sign up to The Big Battery Hunt, a nationwide battery recycling challenge and free educational resource from Duracell. Your school could be entered into their prize draw just by telling them how many batteries you are recycling! You could be in the chance of winning £4,000 worth of outdoor playground equipment, a Nintendo Switch, a £125 Waterstones voucher or an iPad!
In order to get batteries collected you can either create your own recycling box and take them to supermarkets such as Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s or Valpak may be able to offer you a free battery collection, visit their recycle-more webpage and complete the battery box request form.
