Network with fellow environmental educators
27th June 2024 – 9:30am – 3pm
Join us at Killerton House for a day of networking and discussion with like-minded professionals working in the environmental education sector in Devon.
We have some great talks planned from national projects, including the newly launched Climate Ambassadors scheme and the new Let’s Go Zero Climate Advisers who are aiming to help schools reduce carbon, adapt to climate change and increase biodiversity on school grounds, while educating young people about the most pressing sustainability issues of our time. We also will hear about recent work funded by Devon County Council on barriers to climate education and incorporating the education sector into the Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
There will be lots of time for informal networking, as well as some more formal – round-the-table style discussions, plus a site visit led by the National Trust to the rewilding and restoration work on the River Culm at Killerton and Columbjohn.
You are very welcome, whether you are a long-standing member of NEED (formerly SOLID/DESWG), or new to the group.
