Explore the topical issue of plastics in the world’s oceans. After considering why the material’s properties have led to a booming “Age of Plastic”, pupils will uncover the far-reaching impacts when plastic enters the marine environment. A mix of discussion, artwork and practical solutions will inspire children to take action.

We can extend your workshop by helping to organise a beach clean or litter pick of your local area (these are also available as stand-alone activities). Please ensure pupils are dressed appropriately.
